Gordo (age 10) has been playing baseball since he was only 4 years old. He fell in love with the game right away and wanted to play all year round. He played his first year with the Midland Angels and then 2 years with the Tall City Spartans for 7U and 8U seasons. For the Spartans, Gordo competed at a high level which prepared him for the 9U PrimeTime season. Gordo plays first base and bats right handed, but can play anywhere on the field. He is a great teammate and will help pick anyone up when down.
In his spare time Gordo likes to play video games and hang out with friends. He enjoys spending time with family and loves horse races.
Jake (age 10) has been playing sports since he was 3 years old. He is an all around athlete and plays football, basketball, and baseball. Last year was Jake's first season in Travel Select baseball. He started with the West Texas Amigos, and then joined PrimeTime in the Spring. Jake is the ultimate utiity player for the team. He can play almost any position on the field. Because of this, he was voted as the winner of the "Mr. Dependable" award last season by his coaches. Jake is very passionate about the game and has a lot of drive which makes him a very competitive player.
When he is not on the field, Jake likes to play video games, hang out with his friends and family, and he loves his dog, Hunter. Jake likes to travel and be outside. He loves being in the water whether it's swimming at the pool, on a boat at the lake, or boogie boarding at the beach!
SJ (age 9) has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old. This will be his 3rd season competing in Travel Select Baseball. He played his 8U season with Beast Mode (Odessa), and then earned a spot with the original PrimeTime Baseball team for his 9U season. He is a power hitter and uses his speed to play defense in the outfield and fly around the bases. He is very competitive and plays with a lot of passion as evidenced by his coaches voting him as the "Heart and Hustle" award winner last season. He bats right handed and throws left handed.
In his limited spare time, he also plays tackle football as a wide receiver and defensive end. He enjoys playing video games, and is a lover of nearly all sports. He enjoys traveling with his family to professional sporting events spanning baseball, football, basketball, Monster Jam, etc.
Dylan (age 9) started Travel Select Baseball with Top Notch Baseball from Odessa. He helped them earn a 3rd place finish at the World Series before he joined the first PrimeTime Baseball team for his 9U season. He is the youngest member of the PrimeTime roster. He was born only a few hours short of the May 1 Travel Select cutoff. Despite his youth and small stature, Dylan might be the toughest player on the team. Appropriately, his coaches voted him as the winner of the "Iron Man" award.
In his spare time, Dylan also plays tackle football and likes to play video games like Fortnite with his baseball teammates.
Bubba (age 10) has been playing sports since he was only 3 years old. He is an all around athlete playing soccer, baseball, basketball, and flag football. Bubba played his first 2 seasons of Travel Select baseball with the Tall City Spartans, and then joined the first PrimeTime Baseball team for his 9U season. Bubba is a pitcher and utility player that competes with the BIGGEST heart.
Bubba also loves outdoor activities like fishing and camping. He enjoys using his hands to build things from LEGO sets to model cars. He is also an excellent student that loves both science and math.
Irvin (age 10) started playing baseball at 4 years old. His passion is definitely baseball. He started playing Travel Select Baseball for Top Notch Baseball out of Odessa for his 8U season. He played in the World Series that season and helped Top Notch finish 3rd. After that he was selected to play for the first ever PrimeTime Baseball team.
He throws and bats right handed and currently plays primarily at 3rd base and pitcher. In his free time he likes to play chess and XBOX. Most of the time he likes to be with his family.
AJ (age 9) has been playing baseball since he was 4 years old. He started his first year of Travel Select ball with the Midland Angels. Then he joined the Tall City Spartans for his 7U and 8U seasons. He played for the original PrimeTime team last season. AJ started to love the game of baseball at 4 years old and has not stopped since then. He plays his heart out every time he's out in the field. He has been competing at a high level, which has helped him get to where he is now. AJ usually plays at shortstop, but he can play any position on the field despite always being one of the smallest kids on his teams. He excels on defense as evidenced by his coaches voting him as the Defensive Player of the year last season. His father "Skinny" has been coaching him since he began his 7U season with the Spartans.
In his spare time, AJ likes to hang out with friends and family. He likes to play video games and build LEGO sets. He enjoys being outdoors and also plays soccer.
Mason (age 10) has been playing baseball since he was 4 years old. His love for the game began at a very young age after watching "The Sandlot". Last year was Mason's first year playing Travel Select baseball with the Midland Titans 9U. He bats and throws right handed. Mason is a pitcher and also has experience playing shortstop and second base.
Mason has also played many other sports including soccer, football, basketball and Jui Jitsu. When he is not playing baseball, Mason enjoys playing video games, swimming, and spending time with his family and friends. Mason is excited to join the Primetime baseball family for in their second season.
Max (age 10) has been playing baseball since he was 4 years old, and he has been obsessed with the game ever since. Max started his travel baseball journey playing 7U Travel Select. He has played 3 seasons split between Prodigy and the Tall City Spartans. Max primarily plays shortstop or 2nd, and is an excellent starting pitcher. This will be his first season with PrimeTime Baseball, and he is excited to see what the future holds for him with this team.
Even in his spare time, he enjoys practicing baseball and finding new and different ways to improve himself on the field. HIs other interests include working out, learning about astronomy, and solving math problems. He is a true "jack of all trades"
Marcus's (age 10) first love has always been baseball. He started playing t-ball when he was 4 years old. Marcus began his Travel Select baseball career with the Midland Baseball Academy for his 9U season. Then Marcus was selected to join the PrimeTime Baseball family for his 10U season. Marcus is a utility player that can be used all over the field.
Marcus is an all around athlete, and also enjoys tackle football and golf. When he is not on the baseball diamond, football field, or on the golf course he has a NEED FOR SPEED! He enjoys riding his motorcycle, electric bike, and dune buggy. He also loves to play Fortnite and his Oculus. Additionally, he loves to spend time with his friends and family.
Head Coach, Alan "Skinny" Cuevas founded PrimeTime Baseball after 2 successful years coaching Travel Select Baseball within the Tall City Spartans organization for 7U and 8U seasons. Abe Espinoza and Jerrell Garibay assistant coached both seasons with Skinny for the Tall City Spartans. Irvin Arias joined PrimeTime Baseball as an assistant coach in the inaugural season after 2 years as an assistant for Top Notch Baseball. All members of the coaching staff also have extensive experience coaching Little League Baseball/Softball and Travel Select Softball for our current rostered players in addition to their other children. This coaching staff has a proven track record of success against the top competition in West Texas youth sports.
